From humble beginnings…

Kingdom First Ministries (KFM) was founded by Pastor Mark and Dr. Michelle Holland in 1998. KFM’s first worship service was held on the first Sunday in February 1998. The service was held at 4700 Frederick Avenue with four people in attendance. Rev. Mark ministered on “The Purpose of the Wilderness Experience.” KFM’s first Bible Study was held on Wed., Feb. 12, 1998. Dr. Mark and Dr. Michelle were installed into the pastorate in March 1998 by Bishop Montgomery of Family Bible Ministries of Baltimore, MD.

Under Senior Pastor Mark’s leadership the ministry’s vision began to unfold and was written down in November 1998. The Lord began to plant a vision of land ownership, and in December 1998 the ministry moved to 68 S. Kossuth Street. Their first worship service was held in this building on Dec. 31st for New Year’s Eve. In April 1999, KFM purchased this building and began transforming it to reflect their ministerial philosophy.

Since it started in 1998, the ministry has grown tremendously and the church is currently in the midst of its expansion project. KFM was founded on and lives by the words Jesus spoke in Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” With faithful members and a vision from God, they go forth and do what God has commanded. They expect God to do it and they give Him the glory for the great things He continues to do in their midst!
